Join PPDS in visiting the 57th Annual Home Builders Association of Greater Austin Parade of Homes™ where “Dream Homes Become Reality”. It is an annual tour of homes presented by the HBA of Greater Austin. Tours allow visitors to check out the latest in architectural, interior, pool, and landscape design set in the beautiful neighborhood of Rough Hollow in Lakeway.  PPDS was fortunate enough to be able to collaborate with Triton Custom Homes all year to create a uniquely beautiful residence located at 304 Bisset Court.

Our Division Director, Kelle Contine, has spearheaded this project and has really made it into a true showpiece that each of us would love to live in!

The Parade of Homes kicks off Saturday October 16th and runs Wednesdays through Mondays (closed Tuesdays) until the end of the month. Click here for more information on how to purchase tickets and travel to the neighborhood.

We would like to extend warm thanks the vendors who partnered with PPDS and Triton Custom Homes to make this space beautiful:

IIDA Evolution: create, inspire, grow!

Each fall the Austin City Center of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) puts on quite a party to support our organization as well as a select philanthropy. Come experience how much fun the mix of a live jazz band, wonderful food and spirits, bidding on designer items in our silent auction, and rubbing elbows with Austin’s design community can be!

Evolution will be held this Friday, October 15th from 7pm – 11 pm at the Mexican American Cultural Center. RSVP via Evolution’s facebook page and get more information on how to purchase tickets here!

As the 2010-2011 Austin City Center Director and previous Evolution Chair, Becky Blackhall hopes this event will continue to support our organization’s efforts in our design community, continued education, and progression of our profession.

The Texas Book Festival is a non-profit organization and thanks to the generosity of individual donations, foundations, and corporate sponsorships the annual Book Festival is FREE and open to the public. In addition to the weekend Festival, TBF supports Texas libraries and literacy through its Library Grants and Reading Rock Stars programs and hosts literary events year-round and across Texas.

The First Edition Literary Gala benefiting Texas Libraries & Literacy will be held this Friday, October 15th at the AT&T Conference Center. The cocktail reception and silent auction begin at 6:30pm with a seated dinner and author presentations beginning at 7:30pm. Author presentations include Laura Bush with Spoken from the Heart, Michele Norris with The Grace of Silence: A Memoir, and P.J. O’Rourke with Don’t Vote – It Just Encourages the Bastards. As this year’s Gala Co-Chair, Janna Paulson has helped organize an amazing evening with auction items that will be sure to raise a lot of money for a great cause!

Become a member of TBF and receive invitations to special author events, priority seating, the latest literary news and more! Donate online or at the Texas Book Festival booth at the Festival. For table and ticket reservations contact Heidismith@texasbookfestival.org.

See you there!
