The designers at PPDS recently returned from Dallas Summer Market with insight into this year’s most notable interior design trends. On our two day sensory overloaded journey through the Dallas World Trade Center and Market Center, we took note of 2012’s new lighting, furniture and accessory trends. The trip exposed us to endless new concepts that help keep us up-to-date with the ever-evolving world of design. Some of the most memorable trends included: wood incorporated into light fixtures, filament bulb light fixtures, mercury glass accessories, and dog themed accessories. Another fun and unique trend we took note of is British themed accessories and décor. Could this craze for Royal iconic trinkets, Union Jack throw pillows, and vintage fabrics like burlap be stemmed from the up-coming summer Olympics or the popular British television series Downton Abbey?
